Established in 1983, InTechnology is in a unique position in the IT services market place, having a portfolio of value added voice and data services that are integrated and delivered over its own end to end quality assured IP network.

The business, based in Harrogate, Reading and London is now purely a managed services provider. Its boasts the first Public Network connected IP Telephony switches, placing the business in a prime position to capitalise on the development of IP based Public Voice Networks, whilst its stake in Mobile Tornado gives it exclusive rights to UK distribution of the Push To Talk mobile application which has also been integrated into the InTechnology national IP network, another first. The broad managed data services portfolio is designed to remove risk and secure business information; these services are delivered from its World Class hosting centres, which are also connected to the IP network.

The business turnover is now £50m and growing. InTechnology employs almost 200 people, over 90% of whom are client facing. A newly formed Professional Services division leverages the deep level of skills held by its people, ensuring that the transition to the new world of IP is a smooth one.

THE NEW FACE OF INTECHNOLOGY IS UNVEILED AS IT BIDS

TO BECOME THE UK’S LEADING  IP SOLUTIONS PROVIDER

Fresh focus enables InTechnology to capitalise on voice, data and network services heritage to solve strategic and operational issues facing UK businesses

June 4th 2007 – InTechnology, an integrated voice and data solutions provider, today launches a new identity and strategy.  The new identity for the Harrogate-headquartered Managed Services company reflects its focus to provide a fully integrated and managed voice, data, network solutions to UK businesses. The company has also organised itself to maximise its consultancy expertise in order to offer a complete end-to-end solution to its customers.

The announcement of the new strategy follows the disposal of its distribution business in 2006, the subsequent acquisition of Evoxus Limited, an integrated communications service provider in January 2007 and a recent investment in Mobile Tornado, an international mobile technology solutions business.  The investments have enabled InTechnology to enhance its service capabilities and to deliver services and solutions that are embedded into the intelligence layer in its national data network.

Designed to remove the fear of technology change, the new strategy will enable InTechnology to concentrate on three key new areas that meet the growing demands of its customers in addition to it’s existing services of enterprise voice, networks, storage and hosting.

  • Integrated IP Telephony – the provision of integrated voice and data slutions, delivered over an end to end quality assured IP network for small to medium sized businesses and homeworkers, with the flexibility to tailor the level of service to match their own way of working.
  • Business mobility – with customers becoming increasingly mobile, InTechnology’s JustTalk service to be launched in the Summer based on Mobile Tornado’s Push To Talk technology will enable “walkie talkie” instant mobile messaging for the workforce on the move, utilising its unique mobile application, embedded into InTechnology’s national IP network.
  • Storage and application consolidation – enabling business efficiencies through scalability – customers experiencing huge growth in information and data will be offered enhanced Back up and Restore (Vbak) for normal business data, Replication for mission critical data and Archiving services for data that must be saved for commercial or regulatory reasons. These new services are designed hand control of the data lifecycle back to the business without the headache of managing IT infrastructure.

John Murray, Chief Technology Officer, InTechnology, commented, “Technology is already recognised as a key operational aspect of any successful UK business but never before has the need to effectively manage a corporate IT portfolio been so apparent.  With customers keen to generate efficiencies throughout the value chain, businesses are keen to gain a better understanding of when and how they can implement technological change, while minimising commercial risk.

“With a twenty year heritage in the voice, data and networking space, the development of the InTechnology brand enables us to capitalise on our expertise within the market, so that we can offer our customers a service that helps solve the strategic and operational issues within the IT department.”
