As well as the regular club runs (from Colchester and Ipswich) mentioned below, VC Revolution promotes several competitive events each year which are open to all riders. Follow the links below for more details:

Club Rides


VC Revolution also run regular club rides in both Colchester and Ipswich. These rides are an excellent introduction to cycling for those who are not used to cycling in a group and can also be good training sessions for those who are interested in competing. The meeting places for these rides are detailed below, and club members chat about their planned rides each week on the club forum

Colchester Rides

Saturday - Road:


Meeting at the junction of St Johns Road and Parsons Heath (A137) opposite the former Lindhill Car dealership at 9am the ride covers around 40 miles, usually between 17-18mph, though nobody gets left behind. New riders are welcome to turn up at the start just before 9am, we're a friendly bunch!

The route heads out from Colchester towards Clacton before turning through Wix then on to a cafe stop at Mistley before returning to Colchester.

Sunday - Road:


Meeting at the Albert PH at the junction of Cowdray Avenue and North Station Road in Colchester the ride covers around 40 miles taking in a hilly route around Mount Bures and Stoke-by-Nayland. Rides start at 9am.

Wednesday - Mountain Bike:


Meeting at Thomas's Cycle Revolution in Stanway, Colchester, C03 0JN. Weekly mountain bike rides take in a variety of off-road routes around Colchester including Friday Woods and Hillyfields and Danbury. Riders will need lights during winter months. Rides start at 6pm sharp.

Ipswich Rides

Thursday - Road:


Meeting at Thomas's Cycle Revolution in Ipswich at 6pm weekly the ride covers around 35 miles at between 16-18mph. The route heads out from Ipswich towards Felixstowe and loops around Woodbridge before heading out to Helmingham and returning to Ipswich.


Weekday rides in Ipswich are only run during summer months.
