Temme Memorial Races - Dunton

Easter Monday saw the
VC Revolution riders travel to Dunton to race on the
Ford Test Track, the Bill Temme Memorial Races we
promoted by local club Glendene, first thing the weather
was looking better than the previous days blizzards but
that was short lived and the snow soon returned to
hamper some of the racing. Fraser Woods had a good ride
in the Youth event to finish in sixth place.

Andrew Elderfield attacks up the Climb
In the 3 / 4 Category
Senior event there were several VCR riders who were all
active during the race, Andrew Elderfield, Brett
Travers, Tom Starmer and Dick Woods all finished in the
peleton after being very active during the race and
Richard Norris had a great ride in the second race of
his comeback season by taking the bunch sprint and
fourth place overall.

In the afternoons
Elite senior race VCR’s Joe Skipper had a fantastic
ride, the race was very active early on with numerous
attacks, eventually a group of 7 managed to break away
and Joe held on to take second place overall from
eventual race winner Adam Norris [Heron Cyclesport]. Joe
has put some recent bad luck behind him and is looking
forward to this weekends Tour of the Dengie Marshes
which fields a line up of some of the best riders in the
