VC Revolution Reliability Trial

Sunday 2nd February

On Sunday 2nd February, VC Revolution Cycling Club held its annual reliability trial over distances of 30 and 50 miles from West Bergholt village hall.

The event, organised by Andrew Minns, attracted over 60 riders from across the region, who braved bracing easterly winds, a flurry of snow showers and sub-zero temperatures to complete their chosen distance within a set time.

Both routes criss-crossed the undulating Essex – Suffolk border, which, combined with the strength of the wind, proved to be a sporting challenge.

Colchester based teenager Mollie Baker and her aunt - Julie Baker - led in the riders on the 30 mile ride. Seventeen year-old Dominic Schils from Copford, was first rider home on the 50 mile route.
